1. What if an item I want for my class is not available on Amazon?
Currently, Amazon is the required site for making purchases.
2. Will I be disqualified if I don't have a professional headshot?
No, you won't be disqualified. You can provide your best professional selfie or ask someone to take a headshot-style photo of you. Please ensure that no part of your head is cut off, and the photo should be clear, without any other individuals or distractions in the background.
3. Can I apply if I'm not a certified teacher?
Yes, you can apply if you are the main classroom teacher in a Pre-K to 12 classroom for the coming school year.
4. How will items be delivered?
Items will be shipped to the address you provide.
5. Will I be notified even if I don't win the grant?
Yes, all applicants will be notified of the decision.
6. How many grants are being offered for the school year?
At least seven grants, each worth $200, are being awarded. However, as we gain more sponsors we will increase the number of grants we can offer.
7. Can teachers outside the United States apply?
No, this grant is only available to teachers within the United States.
8. Are homeschoolers and homeschool co-ops eligible to apply?
No, this grant is not available to homeschoolers or homeschool co-ops at this time.
9. Will I receive confirmation after submitting my application?
Yes, you will receive an email notification confirming the receipt of your application.
10. Who do I contact if I encounter technical issues?

11. When will I hear about the status of my application?
You will be notified of your application status by October 4, 2024.
12. How will I be notified if I receive the grant?
You will be notified via email with instructions on the next steps.
13. If I receive the grant, when can I expect to receive the items?
Items are generally ordered within two weeks after notification.
14. How can grant funds be used?
Grant funds should be used for educational resources and materials to enhance academics (math and literacy), classroom culture, and parental involvement. Office supplies and food are not eligible for purchase.
15. Can I attend the workshop if I am not a grant winner?
The workshop is a complimentary service for grant recipients. Non-recipients interested in workshops offered by Heartfelt Leading Consulting can visit our website for more information on additional services and workshops.
16. If I received an HL Classroom Grant in previous years, am I eligible to reapply?
Yes, previous recipients are eligible to reapply.
17. Can I provide a photo release form submitted by the school, or do I need to use the one provided by HL?
For legal purposes, you must use the photo release form provided by Heartfelt Leading Consulting.
18. Will the mandatory workshop be virtual or in person?
The workshop will be conducted virtually.
19. Can a recipient purchase items that exceed the grant amount and pay the difference out of pocket?
No, all materials must be within the grant amount.
